Karen has worked in the fitness industry for nearly twenty years as a personal trainer and instructor, and more recently, nutritionist. She is the author of two books ‘Can’t Fry Me Love’ & “When Life Gives You Lemons Add A Shot Of Tequila”, where she teaches how to make being healthy more fun and simple.
Her approach to fitness and health is that everything is always evolving and this means it is important to keep up to date with what we do. Throughout our lives we have all been affected by sickness or lost someone through degenerative disease, and Karen very much believes that her life’s work and research reconfirms her out look time and time again, that we are what we eat, think and contribute, to both ourselves and the planet.
Official statistics show that last year alone heart disease was the number one killer in England and Wales, and the numbers for people suffering with diabetes and neurological disorders and diseases also continue to rise, so clearly the message still isn’t being either received or heard. The fact is, sickness can be prevented, stopped and reversed.
Karen is grateful that lots of people nowadays are also waking up to these issues as there is a wealth of information readily available to all of us. This too however, can sometimes pose a problem as people get given so many choices that they become unable to make one! With small changes we can make big differences to our lives and those of the people around us.
